Japan lifts ban on French poultry
Japan has lifted its poultry import ban on French poultry, which was imposed
in February this year due to bird flu fears.
With the lifting of the ban poultry products such as foie gras can again be
imported into Japan.
In 2005 Japan imported 1,510 tons of duck and
other poultry meat and 377 tones of internal organs, including foie gras, from
France.
