Uganda receives $15 million industry boost
The world bank has approved a US$15 million loan to Uganda to be used
in boosting and improving the national production of poultry, beef, pork and
animal feeds, according to Ugandan ministry of agriculture official, Mr B
Kabuye.
Part of the loan will be used to set up a state grandparent farm which is
intended to increase the domestic output of broilers, to be processed and
exported mainly to regional and Arab markets, where demand for Ugandan broiler
meat continues to grow every day.
