China seeks volunteers for bird flu vaccine
A second clinical trial will be conducted by Chinese company developing a bird flu vaccine for humans using hundreds of volunteers, including children and the elderly.
The government-backed Beijing Sinovac Biotech Co . was cited as telling Reuters the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) would need to approve the number of people and dosages to be used.
The company published results of the first trial in The Lancet medical journal this week and said the experimental vaccine was effective and well tolerated at low doses.
