Cargill takes over UK poultry business

It has been announced that Agribusiness Cargill’s food products unit Sun Valley Europe has acquired a British chicken processing business.

The company said the acquisition of Freeman’s of Newent Ltd was completed on Friday. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Freeman’s has 120 employees and is based in southwest England.

Cargill’s global poultry business has facilities in Britain, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Canada, Brazil, Honduras, Nicaragua and Thailand.
