08-10-2008 | |

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents recently raided the House of Raeford’s Columbia Farms poultry processing plant, arresting approx. 300 illegal workers.

This raid was reportedly a part of a 10-month investigation into the company’s employment practices.
“The execution of this search warrant today marks an important phase of this ongoing investigation into the hiring practices of this employer,” said W. Walter Wilkins, U.S. attorney for the district of South Carolina.
Suspects will be interviewed, fingerprinted and photographed by ICE agents and processed for deportation from the US.
