In 2010, two special themes with related conferences will be presented at the exhibition, Eggs! and Meat Safety.

First launched at VIV Asia 2009, the special theme Eggs! will continue in Europe. The theme will have its own pavilion at the exhibition floor. Several activities will take place at the pavilion including conferences, an Eggs! Museum and an Eggs! Information Lounge. These activities will make sure that global producers and buyers learn more about new products, best practices and developments in the global egg industry, related to the egg track.

The Meat Safety Pavilion will be the meeting place for innovative development regarding meat safety. In co-operation with a steering committee, themes and topics are developed to inform and advise about safety in meat production and processing. Conferences on meat safety and meat safety stands will be present at the pavilion.

Conferences and technical sessions

A conference on incubation, an international postgraduate course and a conference of COST and the European Science Foundation will be held. Besides these conferences, technical sessions will be offered, in which companies and researchers will give educational presentations.
