Premium Protein Products (Nebraska) announces that it will stop further processing chicken products at its Lincoln plant.
Further processing of chicken products, as well as some pork products, will no longer take place at the plant. According to Chairman Steve Sands, the reason for this is to focus on its core business of raw beef processing,
This decision will result in 20 jobs being lost at the Lincoln further processing plant, said company Chairman Steve Sands. “It’s a move to focus on our core competency,” said Sands. “We are trying to put all of our resources against source-verified beef production.”
Previously, the company processed cooked chicken and pork products such as chicken patties and chicken and pork skewers.
