Poultry people on the move

The global poultry industry is always on the move – and so are the people who work in the industry.

He comes with extensive experience of managing broiler breeders of both Grandparent and Parent Stock generations.

Wei Liang, also a recent Masters graduate in Veterinary medicine, joins Hubbard in the position of management trainee. Liang will undertake an extensive training period with Hubbard poultry specialists, spending time at the company’s modern Great Grandparent and Grandparent facilities in the USA and France.

Ross Breeders

After 37 years of service to Ross Breeders and Aviagen, Jim McAdam, breeding programme director of Aviagen, retired at the end of 2015. His career began in 1978 with Ross Breeders, now Aviagen, having studied BSc (Hons) Genetics and MSc Animal Breeding at the University of Edinburgh. He has, throughout his career, worked closely with customers on an international scale, and his profound understanding of the industry greatly contributed to the success of the Ross brand.

Tim Horne has recently joined trace mineral producer, Zinpro Corporation, as country manager, monogastric sales – United Kingdom (UK), Ireland, Scandinavia and Southern Africa. He will be based in Gloucester, UK, and responsible for sales and support activities for monogastric species in these key countries for Zinpro.

Dr Benton P. Hudson has been appointed as a nutritionist of Aviagen’s Global Nutrition Team (GNT). He will join a team of eight nutritionists. Serving mainly the US and Canada, Hudson will be responsible for the nutrition of US pedigree, great grandparent (GGP) and grandparent (GP) stock. He also will provide parent stock (PS) and broiler nutritional support to US and Canadian customers.
