The parent company of midlands-based Salisbury Poultry has posted further growth in turnover and profits in its latest set of financials.
Mehta Holdings grew sales by some £10m in the year to December 2017, taking total revenues up to £113m. Of that, pre-tax profits were £4.5m, compared with £4.2m in 2016.
The privately owned firm has more than 600 employees, and is headquartered in Bilton, West Midlands.
Its owner, Tilk Raj Mehta, said in the group strategic report that directors expected continued growth in turnover, but concedes that the “market for the processing and wholesale of poultry is increasingly competitive”.
