Event to discuss latest developments in poultry

02-04-2009 | |

Due to the growth of the poultry industry, and the popularity if poultry meat, UK’s Campden BRI is holding a major seminar on the latest developments with poultry, on Thursday 18 June 2009 at Chipping Campden.

Poultry is perceived as healthy, versatile and easy to cook by the consumer, says Campden BRI. Consequently the sector has seen considerable growth, with poultry now dominating the meat market in terms of volume.

Keeping up with the latest developments is essential for optimising product quality and maximising market growth.
With the aim of helping companies with this trend, the event will be held.

Liz Mulvey, Meat Technologist: “We have brought together experts from industry, research and government to discuss the developments that will impact on the sector – from genetics, welfare during transport, and method of slaughter, to microbiological safety, factors affecting quality and flavour, Marketing Standards and assurance schemes.”
