Finally we meet again

For over a year now we have all become acquainted with doing business online where possible. Of course hands on was the way to go in our primary industry processes, but everything beyond that found its way to webinars, Zoom meetings and Skype calls. And it worked…

With great effort the poultry industry managed to get past most of the disruptions the Covid-19 pandemic threw at us. The agricultural sector never stopped working and has demonstrated the importance of farming when it comes to feeding people. Food sovereignty is now a key issue in agricultural and economic circles.

We are not out of the woods yet, however slowly but surely things are getting back to normal. As much as digital meetings had their purpose, there is no substitute for a face to face meeting. That is why many of us are looking forward for the first international exhibition in a long time.

It is the international animal production exhibition Space in Rennes, which has the honour of organising the first live exhibition, since the outbreak of the Corona virus. With some precautions and health checks of course, but with an actual showground, conferences and meeting opportunities.

Finally the agricultural sector is able to meet again, in person, with all the benefits thereof. And if travel restrictions still prevent some people from coming, there is a virtual day of the exhibition too. That is one of the innovations the pandemic has taught us.
